My Ultimate Cookies and Cream Shake is thick, creamy and filled with crushed Oreo cookies. It’s quick and easy with just 3 ingredients!

On a hot summer day (or ANY day), what could be more perfect than a cookies and cream shake?? SO cold, thick, creamy and delicious. And it takes minutes to put together. Did I mention it only has 3 ingredients too? Winning!
There are so many spring and summertime recipes, but milkshakes are honestly my favorite! Ice cream is UP there on my list for sure. Read on to see how I make these beauties.

- milk
- Oreo cookies
- whipped cream (optional)
See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions

Step 1: Add 8 Oreo cookies to a blender. (Reserve 2 cookies and crush them up for garnish.)

Step 2. Add lid to blender and pulse until cookies are crushed.

Step 3: Add ice cream to the crushed Oreos in the blender.

Step 4: Add milk.

Step 5. Cover the blender and pulse on and off until the milkshake is blended to the consistency you’re happy with. (I definitely like mine on the thicker side.)

Step 6. Pour into glasses.

Step 7. Add whipped cream. (Optional but recommended!)

Step 8. Sprinkle crushed Oreos on top.

Step 9. Add a straw and enjoy!
Hint: Let the ice cream sit out for about 10 minutes before scooping it. It will be easier to scoop and will blend easier.
Variations
- Ice cream – you can change up the flavor of the ice cream if you want. If you love chocolate, use chocolate ice cream for a real chocolate treat!
- Toppings – we like to decorate the rim of the glass like a Freakshake. You can melt some chocolate and paint it on the outside of the rim. Press on chopped cookies, sprinkles or nuts and put the glass in the freezer for 5 minutes to set.
- Oreo flavors – you can use different flavors of Oreos to change up the flavors up the shake and then you can add ice cream flavors to match. The sky’s the limit!
Equipment
- blender
- ice cream scooper
- glass measuring cup
- large glass, milkshake glass, or Mason jar (for serving)
Storage
Milkshakes are best as soon as they are made. They lose their texture if you try to save them in the refrigerator so I don’t really recommend trying to store them.
Top tip
Use the pulse button on your blender to ensure that you don’t overmix your shake. If you overmix, it will come out soupy instead of thick.

These cookies and cream shakes remind me of the ones we get at Chick-fil-A. If you’ve ever had one, these taste very similar!
