Why You Will Love This Recipe
- These treats are magical! They are giant Rice Krispies treats WITH sprinkles. Everyone will love them. They make you feel like you’re in Disney World.
- They are SO easy to make. They take only 20 minutes to make and only cool for 1 hour before you can cut and serve.
- They feed a crowd.
- They are perfect to bring to a potluck, work function, birthday party, barbeque or just a snack for any time!
I do not skimp on my desserts and I don’t like a thin or wimpy rice krispies treat! I am all about making things over-the-top and MORE delicious. IMO, what makes these treats just that is the double amount of cereal and marshmallows (plus more), extra butter and the addition of white chocolate and colored sprinkles. Yummmmmm!
Not only are these treats delicious, but the addition of sprinkles makes them so fun and colorful. I also love that they are so easy to make. They kind of remind me of the treats you would find at Walt Disney World.

Instructions

Step 1: Butter a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Melt butter in a large saucepan on low heat.

Step 3: Once butter is melted, add 2 1/2 bags of the marshmallows (set aside the remaining) and stir until completely melted. (I like to use a rubber spatula to scrape the bottom of the pot while I’m stirring.)

Step 4: Add the Rice Krispies, white chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles to the pot and stir until almost completely combined.

Step 5: Add the remaining marshmallows and mix until combined.

Step 6: Add mixture to buttered baking dish and push down evenly with a spatula or your hands. (I add some nonstick cooking spray to my hands so the mixture doesn’t stick to my hands.)

Step 7: Allow Rice Krispies treats to cool completely at room temperature for about 1 hour before cutting and serving. Once cooled, cut into 12 even squares. Enjoy!
Hint: Mixing the remaining un-melted marshmallows in at the end makes for a prettier and fancier treat when you can see those marshmallows throughout!
Variations
- Different chips – this recipe calls for white chocolate chips, but feel free to substitute with chocolate, peanut butter or butterscotch chips to change up the flavor combo.
- Different color sprinkles – feel free to change up the colors of the sprinkles to your liking to match party favors or your favorite color!
