Air Fryer Hot Dogs
Air Fryer Hot Dogs are amazing and finished in 8 minutes total cooking time. They are crispy on the outside and taste like they just came off of the grill. They are SO good!
Equipment
- air fryer
- tongs
Ingredients
- non-stick cooking spray
- 4 hot dogs (You can cook as many hot dogs as you need, but I would only cook 4 at a time.) We like all beef Ball Park hot dogs
- 4 hot dog buns
- condiments of your choice
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer on 400°F for 5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer grid with non-stick cooking spray.
- With a small, sharp knife, make three diagonal slits in each hot dog. (This allows the heat to reach the middle of the hot dogs and result in shorter cooking time.)
- Add your hot dogs to the air fryer and make sure they are not touching.We are going to cook them for 6 minutes, turning them halfway in between cooking time. Close the air fryer and cook for 3 minutes.Frozen hot dogs: If your hot dogs are frozen, not to worry. Just cook them on 350°F for 8 minutes instead of 6, and also turning halfway between cooking time.
- Open the air fryer and turn the hot dogs.Cook the hot dogs for another 3 minutes.
- Open the air fryer and remove the hot dogs, placing them into their buns.
- Place two of the hot dogs in their buns back into the air fryer.Cook for 2 additional minutes to get the buns toasty.
- Remove hot dogs from air fryer. Repeat until all the hot dogs are done.
- Add your favorite condiments and enjoy!
Notes
Calorie content is based off of one Ball Park all beef hot dog and one Pepperidge Farm hot dog bun with no condiments or toppings.
Store leftover hot dogs for 3-4 days covered in the refrigerator outside of their buns.
Hot dogs can be frozen without their buns for up to 3 months in an airtight freezer bag or container.
